After the desperately needed relaxation in Koh Samed, the Two Peas arranged to trade the beach for a historic and charming Old City. They hopped on a bus and traveled nearly 11 hours overnight to the northern city of Chiang Mai, also known as the Northern Rose. While the first couple of stays were very short, their stay in The Old City would be almost two weeks. There, they could go at a slower pace and even take a day or so for chores, reorganization, and further planning of their extended journey around the world. Chiang Mai is an old city, filled with Buddhist Temples everywhere you look, hence the Peas had plenty of exploring and sightseeing to keep them busy during their stay. The heart of the Old City lies within a four mile square, which would make getting around much easier for the Peas, who were still learning the ways of this new land.
