Bangkok

For Bangkok, we pre-booked a place on AirBnB.  It was a 20min taxi ride (about 300 Baht) from the airport.  We got a hold of our host once we arrived in Bangkok and she was helpful in explaining to our taxi driver where the AirBnB was located.  We were happy to discover that the place was just as advertised online.

Amenities:

The Condo building was a newer modern and secured complex with a pool and small workout center.  The medium-sized studio was on the fifth floor (there is an elevator) with AC and free WIFI included.  The room was very clean and modern and came with TV, small kitchenette with utensils and plates/bowls, refrigerator and microwave.  It also had a water boiler for coffee/noodles.  A large couch and coffee table for lounging, and full-sized bed separated by a book case half wall, was the layout of the studio. The bathroom was clean and updated.  On the balcony was a washing machine which was very useful, especially for a long stay.

Pricing:

We paid $21/night which seemed fair compared to other listings, especially with the AC and WIFI included.

Location:

The AirBnB was located in a good location, with a bus stop across the street and the nearest BTS station (Udom Suk) about a 1.5mile walk away, which connected to the Airport Rail and MRT (subway).  7-11 was right next door for quick access to goods/ATM.  Also, within a few blocks walking distance were a variety of food vendors/restaurants and other convenient stores.
